2015 Burlington/Lowell 4th of July Celebration
We were at the 4th of July celebration in Burlington again in 2015, and we now have photos online. CLICK HERE for a photo slideshow. We also took video of the Children's Parade and the Grand Parade, which you can see below. Thanks to the folks who graciously share the judge's stand so we can bring you a good view of the parades. We hear that the famous pancake breakfast was sold out this year! There was a good crowd on hand enjoying the beautiful summer weather and all the events celebrating our country's 239th birthday. Happy 4th of July, everyone!
The parade winners this year were: First Place – Grand Falls Crew led by Betty Batchelder, Second Place – Turner Farm Blueberries led by the Turner family, Third Place – Girl Scout Troop #2024 led by the local girl scouts.
This year’s celebration was as grand as ever! The theme was “Western Cowboy Day! There were plenty of activities for all agesto make this a great time for the entire family. The pancake breakfast, blacksmith, 4-H exhibits, art and photography exhibits, children's games, wool spinning demonstration, bingo, book signing, bean-hole bean cookoff and delicious food made this annual event a wonderful family time. There were raffles to support the 4-H club as well. Make plans to attend next year. Don't miss all the fun!
