If you love fall color, this is the place for you. This area just explodes with color every autumn. The slideshow above will give you an idea what it's like, but you should come here for yourself in the fall if you don't live in the area. Be prepared to be impressed! On the theory that a picture is worth a thousand words, we'll just quietly show you what it looks like here in the fall. Until you've seen it in person, we can't possibly say anything to help you understand how beautiful it is! Please be patient while the slideshow loads in. There are many, many amazing fall photos, and it will be worth the wait.

The 2023 fall foliage reporting season is here!

October 30 - The Lincoln Memorial Library welcomed kids to a Haunted Libarary for Halloween this afternoon. Face painting, treats, crafts and a dark and creepy "haunted room" provided entertainment. A bounce house was also planned, but windy conditions prevented its use. The library was decorated for Halloween upstairs and downstairs, and library staff enjoyed celebrating the holiday with the children. For a photo slideshow, CLICK HERE.

October 31 - Lincoln's Halloween celebration for 2013 included lots of fun events at the Lincoln Memorial Library. A bounce house, face painting, a fire truck and more were available for area kids. For a slideshow, CLICK HERE.

Our annual fall roadtrip!

October 2, 2012 - Today we drove around the area in search of colorful fall foliage. CLICK HERE to see what we found!

 Lincoln's annual children's Halloween party!

October 31, 2012 - The Town of Lincoln offers a fun Halloween party for the younger set each year at Ella P. Burr school. We were there to bring you some scary photos again this year. CLICK HERE to see who we found at the party!

Town holds Halloween party for area kids
October 31, 2011 - The Haunted Hill at the Ballard Hill Community Center is a little too scary for the youngest residents of the Lincoln area, so the town held a party at Ella P. Burr school especially for them. There were plenty of treats and games, and the party was attended by a crowd of costumed kids. Children and parents alike had a great time! HAUNTED HILL!

This fall, those looking for some Halloween fun will be happy to know that the Ballard Hill Community Center will have just what they want! Beginning on Friday, September 30, Haunted Hill will be open Friday and Saturday nights through the end of October from 6 pm to 9 pm.

Events Coordinator Amanda Woodard will have help with the preparations from Steve Clay, who is well qualified to lend a hand. Those of you who visit this site frequently will remember Steve's amazing Halloween displays he sets up to entertain trick or treaters at his home. We have had video of his past Halloween exhibits here on your Lincoln area website.
